2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Performance and Design
The Ford F-150 Lightning is bringing intelligent technology and features to the market, with over-the-air software updates to its in-car infotainment system, FordPass, BlueCruise, and more. The F-150 Lightning features Pro Power Onboard, allowing drivers to power their job site or campsite, so they never have to worry about losing power while out and about.
Drivers can tow up to 10,000 pounds with the F-150 Lightning and carry a payload of up to 2,000 pounds. The F-150 Lightning is motivated by dual in-board motors and is capable of delivering up to 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. This electric F-150 will deliver the most torque of any F-150 before.
Available Onboard Scales utilizes sensors in the F-150 Lightning to estimate the vehicle’s current payload, giving drivers an idea of how much they’re hauling and how much more the truck can carry. Onboard Scales works alongside the integrated Intelligent Range system to give an accurate estimate of the vehicle’s range when impacted by the current payload.

The F-150 Lightning will be the first F-Series model to feature the available Phone As A Key System, which allows drivers to start their truck or lock/unlock its doors without removing their phone from their pocket or bag or using a physical key fob.
